Two fancy mail-order companies would get together under a tentative deal established Thursday, with Neiman-Marcus Group acquiring the Horchow Mail purchase business for the sum that is undisclosed.
Horchow, a independently held Dallas business started by a previous Neiman Marcus worker, offers elegant household linens and gifts through the Horchow Collection also a broader selection of product through its Trifles catalogue and discounted close-out products through the Grand Finale catalogue. The business has yearly product sales in excess of $100 million.
Neiman-Marcus Group’s division that is main Neiman Marcus of Dallas, offered $65 million to $70 million of merchandise by mail for the 12 months ended July 30.
Maxwell Sroge, an expert on mail purchase, stated the offer is practical both for organizations.
